Default Be Aware

There is a guy named "Jack" who is calling companies and taking loads under Collard Transport Inc. He has a copy of all of our authorities (at 125 percent). The phone #'s he uses are not ours and he does not work for us and never has. Collard Transport is not soliciting any loads at all at this time as we are busy enough with our own customers. If you get a call from this guy PLEASE don't give him a load. I don't know what he's up to but the RCMP are aware of him.
Thanks
Anne Collard
Collard Transport Inc.

Sheesh how does a guy walk around with a set like that?

Scammers and thieves certainly do have nerve.

I just hope the RCMP can catch this rat before someone gets burned.

I don't know if the person we recently dealt with is the same "Jack" as you, but we caught on to his scam. He said his name was Jack Fourchette of JGF Transport in Montreal, Quebec. He sent us fraudulent paperwork (USDOT and MC numbers), and we have advised F.M.C.S.A. hotline that he doctored other carriers' certificates to misrepresent himself. He gave my company a load (we found out it had been double-brokered) and tried to get us to deliver to some obscure warehouse in Montreal instead of the consignee on the paperwork. Link has been advised, and the R.C.M.P. have a file on him, but cannot prosecute until he actually steals a load. F.M.C.S.A. are looking for him as it is a $10,000 USD fine for using another carrier's USDOT number or MC number. Maybe they can find him and collect the $20,000 worth of fines.

I got a call the other day from a guy named "Jack" who said he was from BK Farms (or something that sounded similar to "BK") in Nova Scotia saying he needed my package to get us set up right away in his system because he had lots of loads that were going to be shipping out of Ontario and he needed carriers ASAP. Phone and fax numbers were 888 numbers. Couldn't find them on the Link even though he said they were a member. Didn't send him anything because it all sounded too fishy to me. Wonder if it was the same guy?
