Hello!

What is everyone using for payroll processing software? We made the switch to Quickbooks Online Advanced and we can no longer run our payroll through the software. We previously used Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise.

Thanks!

We pay our drivers per mile, per pick up/drop off, etc.. Quickbooks online will only allow us to imput a hourly rate equated to hours worked/ salary equated to hours worked, or comission. We currently report the hours worked but they have no dollar value associated with them. I've spent probably 5-6 hours on the phone with the Quickbooks developers who have said they can't support paying milage and if we want to use their software would need to convert everything into an hourly rate.

Make the rate per mile the hourly rate in the system and the miles are the hours???

Insurable hours will be overstated that way and pulling ROE's would be a nightmare. That was my first workaround but after doing 3 ROE's manually I decided to go back to Desktop. Unfortunately, Desktop Quickbooks will be no longer after May.

We use Ceridian for payroll processing. They do all the government reporting/remittances, ROE, direct deposit, T4’s etc. The. it’s just a journal entry into quick books from the Ceridian report.
